Understanding the personality of single and married women

INTRODUCTION: In contemporary Indian society, there is now restructuring and reorientation of a women’s role. The importance studying married single women has become more pertinent because the changing attitudes, increased literacy rate women, their involvement in politics economic development. present study aimed to understand whether status being “married” or “single” influences woman’s personality.METHODS: sample consisted 52 from New Delhi, India. NEO-FFI-3 (McCrae & Costa, 2010) was used measure five domains personality: neuroticism (N); extraversion (E); openness experience (O); agreeableness (A); conscientiousness (C).FINDINGS: analysis showed no significant differences personality between women.CONCLUSION: It concluded that was, alone, not enough differentiate personalities.
